Having been awarded a residency at the Rhode Island School of Design by the Royal Drawing School residency jury I spent five weeks in early 2024 at RISD where I made use of the Nature Lab, a collection of natural specimens and taxidermy. Focusing on moths and butterflies I created a body of work exploring their ethereal multilayered beauty and innate fragility whilst also trying to incorporate the New England landscape and colour palette during this special winter period.
